Donate now and help children living in poverty
Over recent years, TAPA EMEA has been able to make significant donations to local charities in the countries hosting our annual face-to-face conference thanks to the outstanding generosity of our members, who donate prizes and buy tickets for our Charity Lottery.
At RESILIENCE@RISK in Amsterdam on 14 & 15 June 2023, we hope we can count on your support again as we aim to raise money to help the outstanding work of a very special Dutch charity, The LINDA.foundation.
About our chosen charity
The LINDA.foundation was founded in 2013 by television presenter and actress, Linda de Mol, and Mood for Magazines, publisher of the magazine LINDA, to help single parent families with children who are in financial need.
In the Netherlands, one in nine children lives in poverty, and, in Amsterdam, this rises to one in four. With more and more parents struggling to meet their monthly bills, more families are needing to appeal for help from food banks and other support agencies, and demand for special assistance is growing. Children living in poverty cannot grow up carefree: financial distress causes stress for the whole family. Becoming a member of a (sports) association is usually not an option; even throwing a birthday party can be tricky. And, when their parents are angry or sad, some children feel guilty. Slightly older children often look for a job and buy food or extras for their parents with the money they earn.
Supporting those in greatest need of help
The LINDA.foundation does not choose these families itself. It works with contacts from, among others, municipalities, neighbourhood teams, debt counselors, administrators, local branches of Stichting Leergeld, and the Food Bank.
With the overhead costs of the charity paid for by Linda de Mol and Mood for Magazines, 100% of the monies donated to the charity is used to directly help families in need.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
TAPA EMEA is once again asking its member companies to kindly donate prizes to our Charity Lottery.
All you need to do is:
- Notify us of your support by contacting info@tapaemea.org
- Confirm the prize/s you are donating to our Charity Lottery
- Bring your prizes with you to our conference venue in Amsterdam
- Or, if you wish to donate but are unable to attend the event, work with us to arrange delivery
And, of course, we will be asking all 500+ supply chain security professionals joining us in Amsterdam to generously buy tickets for the Lottery to have the chance to win our great prizes and, more importantly, help to make a difference to families less fortunate than our own.
