A commitment to supply chain resilience

Our Standards provide a trusted framework to manage known risks, reduce loss exposure, protect assets, improve people security, and save the heavy financial and reputation costs which can result from a cargo theft incident.

By adopting the TAPA EMEA Standards, companies are able to work to one common set of security requirements.

Designed ‘by the industry, for the industry,’ the Association’s Standards are respected by Manufacturers, Shippers, Logistics Service Providers, and Insurers as best-in-class minimum security requirements to safeguard high value, theft targeted (HVTT) goods stored in facilities and during the transportation process.

Our Standards are reviewed and revised every 3 years to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose to address current and emerging supply chain security risks. During this evaluation process with our members and TAPA EMEA’s Independent Audit Bodies (IABs), we also seek efficiencies which make our Standards easier and more cost efficient to implement, while always upholding their integrity. The next revised versions of our Standards are due to become effective in mid-2023.

With the heightened focus on supply chain resilience since the Covid pandemic, the number of TAPA EMEA Security Standards certifications in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region is accelerating year-on-year. The total number of certifications in EMEA is now at its highest level in the Association’s 25-year history.

TAPA EMEA offers 3 Supply Chain Security Standards:

  • FSR – Facility Security Requirements
  • TSR – Trucking Security Requirements
  • PSR – Parking Security Requirements

TAPA EMEA’s Supply Chain Security Standards allow companies to select their preferred level of FSR, TSR or PSR certification   to suit their security requirements and those of their customers. Certification is achieved by working with our approved Independent Audit Bodies (IABs) or via Self-Certification.

Non-member companies can also achieve TAPA EMEA certifications but only after completing the appropriate TAPA EMEA Standards’ training course.

Remote Virtual Audits

In addition to physical visits to audit locations, TAPA EMEA Standards’ certifications can now also be completed remotely using standard virtual meeting communications systems and the TAPA EMEA audit templates. Contact your TAPA EMEA-approved Independent Audit Body to learn more about the remote auditing process.
