“The calibre of the candidates who put themselves forward for election helped to ensure our highest-ever total of votes. We greatly appreciate everyone’s support and commitment to progressing our role as the leading cargo security and supply chain resilience industry Association in our region,” said Ap Boom, TAPA EMEA’s Chief Financial & Compliance Officer.
So, it’s time to welcome the region’s new Board of Directors, who will be in office and acting in an advisory role to our professional team until February 2027:
In the voting process, TAPA EMEA members voted for four candidates and elected Björn, Gino, Leonie, and Marcel to the new Board. In support of continuity and balance, Antonio, who gained the fifth highest total of votes, was then also invited to join the TAPA EMEA 2024-2027 Board. This ensures a strong representation of the region’s Full Members with a Board consisting of two Manufacturer representatives, two Logistics Service Providers, and one Insurance representative helping to steer the benefits we deliver to the Association’s members over the next 3 years.
TAPA EMEA also wishes to thank and acknowledge the support of the other 3 candidates who took part in the election:
As highly valued and proactive members of the TAPA EMEA Family, Andreas, Jan, and Norman will continue to give TAPA EMEA their full support.
Next steps…
The five new Board Members will meet in early February to agree on their respective roles for their term of office and members will then be advised of the outcome.
TAPA EMEA’s Chief Financial & Compliance Officer, Ap Boom, said: “Thank you to all our members who voted. As we aim to build on our Association’s achievements over the last three years, we look forward to working with our new Board to deliver more benefits for our members in the next three years.
“Our members certainly appreciated that so many highly respected industry specialists were willing to give their time, and share their expertise, to continue the progress of our industry Association. Our professional team look forward to leveraging our new Board’s wealth of knowledge and experience for the wider benefit of our entire membership. We wish Antonio, Björn, Gino, Leonie, and Marcel an enjoyable and successful term of office.”
