Freight crime in the Nordics
The Nordic region is known to have a high rate of cargo crime, but like so many markets in our Europe, Middle East & Africa region, TAPA EMEA still believes most freight thefts are not recorded in a way which highlights the scale of this issue.
In the last 18 months, the TAPA EMEA Intelligence System (TIS) has recorded 1,326 freight theft incidents in Sweden Denmark, Norway, and Finland alone, producing a total loss for those incidents sharing a value of €19,716,588. Major cargo crimes involving the loss of goods from supply chains worth €100K saw an average loss of €2,678,577.
This event aims to provide a catalyst for the exchange of ideas, information, intelligence, and data which can increase our understanding of risks, help companies to mitigate these threats and, ultimately, prevent losses. As always, we will be joined in our conference sessions by leading subject matter experts to share their market knowledge and experience.
We look forward to welcoming you in Copenhagen.
