This conference is in partnership withADSP – the Association of Security Directors of Portugal, the leading national association of security professionals – and will hear from leading experts from law enforcement and industry as we discuss freight crime risks in Portugal and the collaborative response to secure supply chain operations against criminal attacks.

As well as updates from TAPA EMEA and ADSP, the conference will hear presentations by APAT – Portugal’s national trucking association, APLOG – the national logistics association, the express & courier industry, and representatives of major Portuguese Law Enforcement Agencies.

Spain suffers one of the highest rates of freight crime in Europe. Over 2 years to the end of June 2026, TAPA EMEA recorded over 4,200 attacks on trucks, warehouses, and other types of facilities and modes of transport. The 13% of these cargo crimes reporting a loss value contributed to a total loss of goods in Spain of >€197 million. Major losses (€100K+)  averaged €1,336,836.

This event will discuss how manufacturers and logistics service providers can protect their supply chain operations in Spain from attacks by organised crime groups and other offenders as we are joined by industry experts and law enforcement agency specialists to look at the causes of freight crime in Spain as well as the ongoing police work to disrupt crime groups. Delegates will also hear about proven security solutions protecting supply chains across Europe, and the cargo crime incident intelligence driving this industry response.
