TAPA EMEA UK Freight Crime Risk & Resilience Conference
On 22 October 2026, TAPA EMEA is joining forces with the British International Freight Association (BIFA) and the Road Haulage Association (RHA) for a one-day conference focussed on UK Freight Crime Risk & Resilience.
Freight crime now costs the United Kingdom economy over €800 million a year, according to the All-Parliamentary Group on Freight & Logistics. The activities of organised crime groups, who see supply chains as an easy target, are damaging economic growth, disrupting business relationships, and risking higher prices for consumers.
This special one-day conference will look at the growing risks facing UK supply chains as well as the various ways organised crime groups are attacking goods in transit and in facilities. Delegates will hear from law enforcement agencies to learn how they are responding to disrupt crime groups, recover stolen goods, and prosecute offenders – and we’ll be joined by industry specialists to discuss solutions designed to prevent or minimise losses by protecting supply chains against current and emerging threats.
This event is in response to the high-level of freight crime taking place across the UK. In the 18 months to 30 June 2026, the TAPA Intelligence System (TIS) recorded:
- . 4,043 freight thefts across the UK
- . 189 (<5%) confirmed their loss value
- . Value for crimes confirming their financial loss = >€40 million
- . Major thefts from UK supply chains (€100K+) averaged €914,231
