TAPA EMEA and TT Club launch ‘Young Supply Chain Professional of the Year’ Award 2024

TAPA EMEA has launched its second annual ‘Young Supply Chain Resilience Professional of the Year’ Award sponsored by TT Club, the leading provider of insurance and related risk management services to the international transport and logistics industry, to help identify outstanding individuals excelling in the profession.

The award supports TAPA EMEA and TT Club’s aim to recognise young talent and encourage career development in the cargo security and supply chain resilience sectors.

“We have a hugely impressive pool of young talent in the TAPA EMEA membership. Attracting young professionals into the cargo security and supply chain resilience industry is vital for all stakeholders and it is also important that we encourage their development and recognise their accomplishments. This TAPA EMEA and TT Club award gives individuals in our industry an opportunity to earn recognition for their talent and innovation and an achievement they can carry forward in their careers. I ask senior managers in our membership to encourage young professionals in their teams to participate is this year’s award,” said Thorsten Neumann, President & CEO of TAPA EMEA.

“It is important for every industry to nurture the next generation of leaders. The business focus on supply chain resilience and cargo security has never been greater with the world facing economic, geopolitical, health and environmental challenges and disruptions in addition to the now well-established and growing threat of cargo crime,” said Thorsten Neumann, President & CEO of TAPA EMEA. “With this award, in partnership with TT Club, we hope to identify the people responsible for innovative solutions to these risks and whose efforts are helping to ensure the secure movements of goods throughout the end-to-end supply chain.”

Mike Yarwood, Managing Director Loss Prevention at TT Club, stated: “TT Club are extremely proud to continue their sponsorship of the TAPA EMEA ‘Young Supply Chain Security Professional of the Year’ Award into 2024. The inaugural award last year was a great success and attracted a number of bright young minds from the industry to showcase their respective security solutions. It is hugely gratifying to witness the excellent work that is being done in the industry to combat security challenges faced. We are excited to see the award programme develop and look forward to reviewing the 2024 submissions”.
